Sara Post is an artist, creativity coach, arts educator. She studied studio art and English at Southern Methodist University—combining studies in poetry, mythology and art making. Several years later after travel and ceramics work in London she earned an M.A. in studio ceramics and art education at Northern Arizona University, where she concentrated on the work of Seonaid Robertson and the study of unconscious expression of myth in clay modeling and art education.

In 1981, Sara and her husband, Tom Post, opened T.S.Post Ceramics, a studio pottery producing maiolica tableware and tile in Davis, California. T.S.Post gained international recognition in the 1990’s and T.S.Post ceramic work continues to be exhibited in many venues, including The Smithsonian and American Craft Museum.

In addition to ceramics work Sara is a painter and printmaker and has continued to lead workshops and mentor young artists. In 2002 she became a SoulCollage facilitator and trained as a creativity coach at internationally recognized Coaches Training Institute.

She is a member of International Federation of Coaches, International Association of Expressive Arts Therapists, the American Crafts Council and Association of Clay and Glass Artists. She teaches classes at the Davis Art Center and from her home studio.

“Above The Door is an exciting experiment in weaving many life threads together, teaching me as I teach and coach others, to work with art and creative development in new and exciting ways.”
